The tree day Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2014 opened at the landmark Faletti’s hotel with a lineup of over 20 fashion designers, comprising established and a few emerging ones. The Bridal Couture Week Day 1 was overwhelming and perfect to our expectations.
Day 1 opened with the Zahid Khan’s collection by Kuki Concepts. Zahid showed his Paris Collection based on bridal fashion traditions of the sub continent and featured rosettes, tilla work, liberal use of Banarsi fabric and borders, gotta, mukesh, net and lace.
Next was Ali Xeeshan’s luxe bridla collection, titled as ”Dastaan” inspired by the brilliance of the masterpiece that is Mughal-e-eAzam and Anarkali. fozia Hammad was the next designer after Ali Xeeshan.
Teena Durrani amazed us with her bridal collection, entitled perenia Progressive with Ayesha Omar as the showstopper in a gorgeous red tiered pleated skirt.
After that the talented maria-B shocked the audiences with her feminine bridal collection, titled ‘Rose Garden’ with European cuts and embroidery for the modern bride. The collection was inspired by Victorian era. Then Faraz Manan bridal collection at TBCW 2014 was inspired by architectures, interiors, and cultures.
